This article explains how to manually rehire an employee and reactivate their Employee Profile.


If a Termination Date exists

If manually deactivating an Employee Profile for an integrated staffing client, best practice is to leave the Termination Date field blank. The presence of a Termination Date in Timerack prevents the Employee Profile from automatically reactivating when a new active Assignment passes to Timerack through the integration with an ATS/staffing software. If a Termination Date exists in Timerack for the employee, complete the steps below to reactivate the employee's Timerack Profile.


1) Navigate to the Employee Profile you want to make Active.


2) Locate Status in the Personal Information section.


3) Delete the date from the Termination Date field.


4) Use the Status dropdown menu to change the employee profile Status to Active.

 

5) The name of the Hire Date field will update to Rehire Date. Enter the date of rehire in the Rehire Date field.


6) Optional: Enable employee access to clocks and/or web or mobile app. See Employee Access Options and Grant An Employee Access To Web Or Mobile App.


7) Click the Update button to save your changes. Remember, it may take some time for the update to take effect on physical clocks.
