Timecard Lock is a feature which allows Timecards to be put into a state where changes cannot be made. Users with Partner access the Client can Lock and Unlock Timecards. To set Manager User permission to lock and unlock Timecards, see Limit Manager Permissions in a Client Portal.


This article explains how to use Timecard Lock.


The Timecard Lock feature is accessed on a page which is separate from where Timecards are viewed and edited.

1) Select Timecard in the top navigation menu and then select the Timecard option on the left.

2) Select the Timecard Lock tab.

3) By default, Timecards from the Last Pay Period will populate the list.


Timecards spanning the previous five (5) Pay Periods can be Locked and Unlocked. 


The Current Pay Period cannot be locked.


Use the Pay Period dropdown to select the Pay Period containing the Timecards you want to lock or unlock. 

4) Click the Fetch button to update the list.

5) Mark the checkboxes on the left of the list to select Timecards to action. Use the options at the top and bottom right of the list to display additional timecards.

The Lock Status column indicates whether each Timecard is Locked or Unlocked.

6) Click one of the buttons below the list to Lock or Unlock the selected Timecard(s).

8) Enter your Timerack password and then click OK


To cancel, close the popup window.
