This article is an overview for client/portal admins of how employees can access time and attendance for multiple clients on web and mobile using the same login credentials. The user guides for Web Punch and Timerack Mobile App detail for employees the process of switching between clients.
To enable multi-client login, the employee's credentials (Email and Password) must be identical in all clients that are to be linked to the user. Once the accounts are connected by identical email and password, if an employee uses the Change Password or Lost Password feature to change their password, the password will update for all of the user's linked accounts. The initial web portal and mobile app sign-on processes do not change according to whether the employee has linked accounts, rather, users are presented with the option to switch between clients while signed in if multiple accounts are connected.

The name of the company the user is logged into is displayed at the top of the screen. If the user's mobile account (email and password) is linked to multiple companies, a down arrow is displayed next to the company name. | ![]() |
To switch to a different linked Client, the employee taps the arrow next to the Client name to open the switcher. | ![]() |
The employee taps a Client name to select it. Tapping a client name immediately switches the employee to the selected company. | ![]() |
If the employee account is linked to a Client for which the employee does not have mobile app access enabled, an "Invalid Client" message displays if the employee selects that Client in the switcher. | ![]() |

If the account (email and password) is linked to multiple companies, a page will display with the available options. Employee clicks on the Client Name and is logged into that Client. The employee's permissions in each Client reflect the settings on their Employee Profile for the selected Client. | ![]() |
To switch companies, the employee clicks on the account icon in the upper right and then clicks Switch Client Profile to return to the Account Selection page.
