Getting started

When you begin using Timerack, schedule a Missing Punch Summary report for Yesterday to be emailed to yourself daily.

Daily tasks

1) Check your email for the Missing Punch Summary report. If the report shows that any punches are missing, log in to the portal and make the necessary edits to the timecards. 


2) Log in to Timerack portal and review your alerts. 

Alerts are found on the dashboardTimecard page and the Timecard Alerts page in the Timecard section of the portal. 


3) If your portal is integrated with Assignments, check the View Assignments button on the Dashboard for a red lightning bolt bubble (shown below). If there is a bubble, click the button and address the errors, then accept the employees.

Preparing for payroll

1) Review Missing Punch Summary reports and correct all errors on timecards.

2) Review Timecard Alerts and clear the alerts that have been addressed.

3) Check timecards for approval by manager and/or employee, if applicable.


Adding new employees

Verify that the employee(s) has the appropriate policies and clocks/web/mobile access on the Employee Data page in the Timecard section of the portal.
