This article explains how to enter time on web timesheets.


1) In a web browser, go to the Timerack login page. 

2) Select the Employee login type.

3) Enter the email address and password associated with your Timerack account.

4) Click Login.
5) Select Web Timesheet on the left navigation menu.

6) Verify that you are viewing the correct Pay Period. Use the dropdown menu above the timesheet to choose a different Pay Period, if needed.


7) To edit or add time, the timesheet must be in editing mode. To open the timesheet for editing, click Edit Timesheet.


8) Depending on your company's settings, you may be able to enter hours, punches, or both. Enter or modify time by typing in the time entry spaces. 


A typical day may consist of 4 punches:

  •     In: begin work
  •     Lunch Start: go to lunch
  •     Lunch End: return from lunch
  •     Out: finish work

Each blank/new day on the timesheet has only two time entry spaces by default; one for punch In and one for punch Out. To create additional spaces, click the plus sign (+) to the left of the date.

When entering punches, the square to the right of each time entry space indicates the type of punch. Choosing the right punch type helps ensure that your hours are correct.


To verify the punch type, hover your pointer over the square. Click on the square to change the punch to a different type. Keep clicking to cycle through the different types of punches until you reach the type that you need.


9) Depending on your company’s settings, you may be able to use dropdown menus to choose a Pay Type, Assignment, or other items such as Location, Department, and/or Job.

10) When done entering time, click the Save Timesheet button below the timesheet.

11) Click Close to exit editing mode.
