One way to manage accruable benefits is to calculate them in the company's system of record and then import the balances into Timerack so that they are available for employees to use.


This article explains how to mass import employee balances for accrual Pay Categories.


1) Click Timecard in the top navigation menu and then select Employee Data from the left navigation menu.


2) Navigate to the PTO tab.


3) Click the Import button.


4) To retrieve a file template, click to download sample file. A CSV file with the applicable columns will download to your device.

 

5) Add the required data to the file and then save the file to your device. 

Employee ID
The Employee ID shown on the Employee Profile.
Pay Category
The Pay Category Name displayed in the Type column on the PTO tab
BalanceThe number of hours the employee has available for the applicable Pay Category. Negative balances can be imported.


6) Click the Choose File button to browse files on your device and then select the CSV file for import.

7) Click the Upload button.

8) If the sample file template was used, the fields will map automatically. Click the Import button to complete the import.


9) A message will display near the top of the page that the upload was completed, and the updated Balance(s) will display.
