Timerack's TR905 clock has a biometric feature which allows employees to use fingerprints to punch in and out. It is recommended to enroll at least two fingerprints per employee.


This article explains how to set up an employee to use fingerprints on the TR905.


Before you begin

Verify that the employee profile exists in the Timerack portal. If the employee profile does not exist in the portal, fingerprints cannot be enrolled.


1) Press the M/ ⏎ button to access the Main Menu.


2) Use the arrow buttons above the fingerprint and badge reader to navigate to User Mgt. and then press the OK button to select it. 


3) Use the arrow buttons to navigate to All Users and then press OK to select it. 


4) Search for the employee to enroll by using the keypad to enter their Card Number, or use the arrow buttons to navigate through the list.

Card Number is found in the Personal Information section of the employee's profile in the Timerack portal.

5) Press OK to select the employee.


6) Press OK to select Edit.


7) Use the arrow buttons to navigate to Fingerprint and press OK to select it.


8) Use the arrow buttons to navigate to a finger to enroll and then press OK to select it. 


Enrollee will be prompted to press the selected finger to the reader three times. 


Keep the finger flat and centered on the reader and press firmly for at least two seconds.


After three successful presses, an Enrolled Successfully message will display along with a green checkmark on the fingerprint.

To enroll additional fingers, repeat steps 7 and 8. 


9) After enrolling a minimum of two fingerspress the ESC button to return to each previous screen until the home screen is displayed.
